Despite unusual winter season, HSS volunteers continued several activities all across the US. Following is just a glimpse of activities.
In February, Milwaukee, WI Balagokulam organized balamela engaging children in various activities and games. February was also a month when HSS volunteers in Seattle area started new Shakha in Sammamish, WA. Sacramento (CA) shakha participated in Annapoorna sewa project to donate food to local charity My Sister's House.
March started with Sakhi Sammelan in Atlanta, GA. Some interesting work shops like lifestyle change to avoid breast cancer, debate on Internet usage were conducted in this five hour long program. To stay active and to enjoy the mother nature in this chilly winter season, kishores and adults alike in Chicago and Wisconsin organized Nivasi varg and Skiing adventure trip.
HSS at Atlanta, Bay area, New Jersey and many other places organized colorful Holi and celebrated with local community. Central Taxas Vibhag had their annual family camp at Radha Madhav Dham in Austin. 108 attended this camp.
With spring in the air, many events from Yuva Sangam, Ghosh Varg Guru Vandana, Bala Naipunya Din, etc. are planned for coming moths.
