Dharma Bee is a nation wide quiz contest for kids with the theme ‘Discover your Hindu Heritage". Dharma Bee’s goals are to improve swadhyaya (learning) about Hindu dharma, increase bala/kishore participation in shakha and to improve quality of shikshaks. As part of HSS’s nationwide initiative, HSS Durga Shakha in Temple City, CA organized “Dharma Bee - 2020” program that began on February 9th, 2020. National team provided basic guidelines and resources such as syllabus, campaign materials, teaching strategies etc.
The event Namaste YUVA 2020 was organized by Hindu YUVA volunteers from Georgia Institute of Technology (GT), Georgia State University (GSU) and, the University of Georgia (UGA) on Saturday, August 8th, 2020. The event’s purpose was to welcome freshmen students to their respective universities who were transitioning from high school to college life. Further, the event helped us in introducing Hindu YUVA, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), and the university shakha to these incoming students.
Sangh Shiksha Varg is an elite institution where transformation of ordinary SwayamSevaks into extraordinary torchbearers, of Sanatana Dharma, begins.
Great Lakes HSS division chose not only to plan and execute this Varg for their Swayamsevak(s) and sevika(s), but was entrusted with doing so for Bhuttanese youth. This was the first national Bhutanese Youth Camp. This is a matter of great pride and honor for our division.
Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, HSS volunteers from the Georgio branch including its youth chapter stepped up to the challenge of helping their community..They collaborated with and brought together several other organizations to amplify their efforts.As a token of appreciation and expression of gratitude,HSS and Sewa International volunteers provided more than 6,000 PPE including 3 ply surgical masks, KN 95, N95 and cotton masks to the first responders to four Georgia cities, Cobb County Police and Fire Department, Alpharetta Police and Fire department, Dunwoody Police department
WASHINGTON: A group of Hindu organisations in the US has launched an exclusive helpline to address the issues faced by thousands of Indian students amidst the unprecedented coronavirus crisis that has left a large number of them stranded and without accommodation.
The 'COVID-19 Student Support Network' helpline, 802-750-YUVA (9882), is a collective initiative of Hindu Yuva, Bharatiya, Vivekananda House and Sewa International.
Yuva Sangam (Youth Camp) organized by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh during the weekend of Oct. 1st & 2nd 2005, at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca, served the purpose of creating awareness among the Hindu youth in the Mid-west of USA.
The Melbourne Chapter of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh(HSS) and Hindu Students Council (HSC) of Florida Institute of Technology, conducted a Yuva Sangam at Florida Institute of Technology today.
The theme of the conference was to promote Hindutva, Hindu philosophy of life, and the preservation of Hindu identity in co-existence with people in a Western World.
