As we all know due to the Covid-19 pandemic normal life has changed, but for many HSS seniors they missed out on something they had been working up to their whole life, Graduation. So on June 6th 2020, Georgia Vibhag Kishor Pramukh Abhinay Sharma Ji recommended to hold an e-graduation for all the seniors of 2020 in the Southeast Sambhag. He and Srishti Talati assembled a team of kishors from all the Vibhags in Southeast. This included Mrunal Munshi (North Carolina), Mrunal Dongre (North Carolina), Yukta Kulkarni (Florida), and Gargi Konteti (Georgia).

HSS shakhas in Houston area celebrated Guru Vandana either online or greeted teachers from outside their home. Shakha volunteers developed a website platform, kids posted video/audio/text greetings to the teaches on the site. The web site sent emails to teachers and they responded with their blessing and also posted on the site. Around 8 volunteers worked to make it a grand success.

Dharma Bee is a nation wide quiz contest for kids with the theme ‘Discover your Hindu Heritage". Dharma Bee’s goals are to improve swadhyaya (learning) about Hindu dharma, increase bala/kishore participation in shakha and to improve quality of shikshaks. As part of HSS’s nationwide initiative, HSS Durga Shakha in Temple City, CA organized “Dharma Bee - 2020” program that began on February 9th, 2020. National team provided basic guidelines and resources such as syllabus, campaign materials, teaching strategies etc.

Sangh Shiksha Varg is an elite institution where transformation of ordinary SwayamSevaks into extraordinary torchbearers, of Sanatana Dharma, begins.  

Great Lakes HSS division chose not only to plan and execute this Varg for their Swayamsevak(s) and sevika(s), but was entrusted with doing so for Bhuttanese youth. This was the first national Bhutanese Youth Camp. This is a matter of great pride and honor for our division.

Arizona Vibhag started Dharma Bee during the month of February in all active shakhas with 100+ registrations. Due to COVID situation, physical in-person shakhas were canceled starting March 13th. We started E-Shakhas from weekend of March 20. Every weekend we conduct 4 different E-Shakhas for K-2 grade kids, 3-5 grade kids, middle/high school kids and tarun shakha.

Hindu community was successfully united for learning and sharing Hindu values in an organized way through the Heritage Camp.

As usual, respects to Bagwa Dwaj marked the beginning of our camp which was followed by Ganesh Vandana. The importance of attending regular shakha, proclaiming our Hindu Identity and the privilege of being the followers of Shri Ram and Lord Krishna were emphasized through the camp geet - chalo bhai chalo shakha me chalo. Physical Exercises and Surya Namaskar provided adequate fitness for pro-active participation in the activities for the day.

The Irvine Shakha of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) celebrated Guru Vandana (Teacher Appreciation Day) on Sunday, May 2, 2010. The event was a huge success with over a dozen teachers attending the event and the total attendee list crossing the three digit mark, beating everyone's expectations.
