More than 2400 children in grades K-8 enthusiastically participated in the Level 1 exam at local test centers for the Dharma Bee national competition. This exam was conducted in 37 states and 629 cities, at 156 test centers across the United States. Built upon the  past success of the national competition “Kaun Banega Ramayan Expert,” or KBRE as it was popularly known, HSS has developed the  Dharma Bee to provide a fun avenue for  children to learn about Hindu culture and heritage.

Dharma Bee competition - Level 2 round concluded successfully in the last week of April, in 35 places across the United States.  Total 1108 students between grades K-8 participated in this round.  3,308 kids spread across 37 states are taking part in this unique competition organized by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA (HSS) as a part of the yearlong celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a 19th century Hindu monk who brought the concepts of Dharma and Yoga to the West.

Birchwood Manor, Whippany, NJ - On Sunday, Sept 29th, 2013 New Jersey a glorious moment in the annals of Hindu events history when nearly 2000 people representing over 30 organizations joined hands in celebrating “Dharma and Yoga Fest”, a unique “once in a lifetime” event spreading the message of “Universal Peace Through Dharma and Yoga”. Varsha Pratipada is also popularly known as Yugadi and corresponds to the Shalivahana Shaka in some part of Bharat and in the rest, it corresponds to the Vikrama Samvat, corresponding to the era beginning 78 A.D. and 57 B.C. respectively.  This day recalls the inspiring occasion when the invading Sakas from Central Asia were vanquished by the great emperors Shalivahana and Vikramaditya in the 1st Century A.D.

During the months of May and June 2017, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA (HSS) organized Guru Vandana events across the nation to honor teachers and their contribution in the society. More than 1250 teachers, principals, and superintendent as well as a total of over 6500 attendees (which includes HSS families as well dance, music, arts, karate, physical fitness teachers and coaches), participated in 65 events held from North to South and East to West in over 20 states.
