HSS expresses condolences at the passing away of Swami Ranganathananda

The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA, joins thousands of Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa devotees and others globally in expressing their deepest condolences at the passing away of Revered Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj, the 13th president of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, on April 25th, 2005, in Kolkata, India.

Pujya Swamiji will be long remembered for his lucid scholarly expositions of the eternal message of the Upanishads and other Hindu scriptures that he tirelessly spread across the globe for decades.  He strongly believed in the inherent divinity of the man and preached the message of hope that encouraged even a commoner to strive to realize his/her true spiritual nature.  In his passing away, we have lost one of the greatest Indian philosophers, a genuine ‘sadhu’ and an ardent exponent of the Hindu culture of our time.  May the Almighty grant  a ‘sadgati’ to the departed soul.

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh is a non-profit cultural organization with 88 chapters throughout the U.S.A.
