The organization of the website is very well done. A few places where further improvements could possible.
1. Name of the website, “sny” could be made more appealing with “Suryanamaskar”.
2. Science Page would look better in HTML.
3. Print material, spreadsheets not coming up.
4. PPT takes too long.

Converted the ppt to html. much better and quicker than the ppt.

Soorya Namaskar Yadnya is a good IDEA to start propogation at the beginning of the year.Winter Season starts waning steadily. One can brush off LAZYNESS and promise to oneself that I will perform Soorya Namaskar Exercise every day of the year.A vow can be repeated every year on Ratha-Saptami Day.
YAGNA should have spelt ” Yadnya “

Namaskar,
I am doing Suryanamaskar for last year or so. This site and the videos helped me to correct some of the mistakes and to understand minor points which I didn’t know before. This is really informative website about Namaskars. I personally feel that Namaskars are really good exercise for everybody; it helped me with my back problem and also keeps your body flexible and healthy. Another big advantage I found with Namaskars is that you can couple them with any kind of exercise routine you want to follow (like aerobics, yoga, weights, etc). Its indoor exercise and doesn’t require much time or any special equipments, so I think everybody should do it and get the benefits which I got from it. In the beginning it might be little difficult if you are not used to stretching or new to yoga but believe me with time you will get better and can do all the poses very easily, I am telling this from my personal experience.
Many thanks for the help and encouragement which I got from this site.

I think the site is great. Very informative and a great resouce for Shakha and explaining SNY to participants.
Tejaswini Says:
This is very well done - very crisp and clear instructions. What is missing here, is instructions for “Adult yoga beginners”. Who are not flexible and would like to get started. You could come up with a section, where you can explain doing the same poses with “props”. especially for “Uttnasana”, “Adhomukh Shwanasana”. When I started several years ago ( after a long break ), I had difficulty doing “Adhomukh Shwanasana”, where my heels would not rest flat on the ground. I started using “rolled blanket” or a “pillow” for my heels and then I observed, my muscles relaxed and I was able to go deeper into the pose.

Your team (behind this effort) deserve a lot of blessings, grace and success-only from our Suryanarayan Bhagavaan. Accolades to this team for putting up this subha-sankalpa and satkaarya. On the main webpage (/sny), can you provide the link to your list of coordinator on the line where it says, ‘Give the total count to your coordinator’.
Also useful was the valuable information on benefits of suryanamaskar, Can you also provide a subsection on historical information about Suryanamaskar, with instances from the shastras/purans explaining how immensely powerful technology Suryanamaskar has been throughout the history of mankind. This will give another context on how Suryanamaskaar has always being part of our ancient Sanaatana sanskruti and Hindu heritage. We don’t just do it out of benefits alone, but we also do ‘Suryanamaskaar’ as part of our appreciation towards our heritage, as part of our identity, as part of our culture and our way of life.
Haardik Dhanyavaad (and shubhechha) for performance of this Yagnya karma.

Hello:
I heard the info on your suryanamaskar site and saw couple of video’s. I liked the overall effort you guys made here and liked the philosophy info quite a bit. Thanks for making this available to people and hopefully you will be able to reach out to more and more people who can gain for the basic investment of sny
It’s a tremendous initiative to get this SURYA NAMASKARA YAGNA organized with very informative web site. Kudos! on that.
Suryanamaskar is combination of several ASANAS and by that time we finish this yagna, I hope almost everyone would have come in to a habit to do Suryanamaskar. In scientific terms, the physical trainers considers Suryanamaskar postures as Stretching and they recommaned this stretching everyday. So, for the people who are looking for scientific explanation, that is well satisfied in this several thousand years old Suryanamaskar.
I urge everyone to get this YAGNA going along with your whole family and hope it becomes a daily routine afterwards.
Wishing everyone a Joyful SuryaNamaskara.

Suryanamaskar yagna is very well taken by all-children as well as adults in our shakha. Last week a family visited our shakha who had a 2 year old daughter. She performed 6 Suryanamaskars with her family and said,”Now I’m tired but I’ll do it again in the evening.
One family joined our shakha about two weeks ago. Their children are ages 4, 6,& 7 year old. The youngest Latika, who does not even go to school, wakes up early in the morning and demands everyone to do Surya namaskar with her. Then she would pick up the paper and ask her mother to write the number in it.

Introduction is good. Background score is terrible. It should be relaxing and should not be irritating. Postures were done as if it is some sort of dance. Also, there should be brief explanation of each step.
Thanks

Sadly, it appears that even the Hindu do not know what is Yoga. “Hatha Yoga” is the proper title. Like all of real Yoga, Hatha Yoga is not merely an exercise workout but the religious disciplines of Hinduism. Why do the Hindus have such a problem admitting these facts? Is it any wonder the proliferation of all the non-sense in the name of “yoga” today?

Appreciate the effort in bringing forth this video. It marks a good beginning for the day, and youngsters will benefit from information of this kind on the web.
