Activities from All Around in 2007

Summary of activities as part of Surya Namaskar Yajna from all around.

In NY, 73 volunteers performed 24 hr Surya Namaskar Marathon and completed 5500+ Surya Namaskars. One mahila volunteer and purush volunteer did 260 and 240 SNs respectively in one go. Both of them performed 475 SNs each at the end of the marathon.
In NJ, 80 volunteers performed 6100 SNs in a competition in 45 minutes. All of them including Tarun and Bala’s performed 78 SNs each.
In Texas a family of three started performing 52 SNs each. They have family target of 2400 (16 days X 3 X 52)
In Atlanta GA, Florida 300 of volunteers registered for the SNY
In Boston, MA 500+ volunteers signed up for the Yagna.
In California 700+ volunteers started practicing SNs everyday in the SNY. They are also getting ready for the 24 hr. SN marathon in the second week.
In Tampa one of the volunteers’ and also SNY coordinator in South East started performing 65 SNs every day. He set personal milestone of 1000 SNs in 16 days.
In Indianapolis temple, 200 people attended impromptu SNY presentation. All of them performed 13 SN at the end of the presentation. Now they are planning for SN marathon on Jan 27th at the temple.
One Bala volunteer (7) and Mahila volunteer (10) in Boston started performing second cycle of SNs at night at 9:00 PM after completing their studies.
More than 20 yoga studios/schools/groups are participating in the yagna
Bloomington IL Shakha is planning a SN marathon on Jan 28th
Houston Shakha is planning kite flying festival and SN on Saturday Jan 20th.
