Seattle Region celebrates Vijayadashami Utsav |

 Vijayadashami was celebrated in its true spirit in Seattle on Oct 28th, 2007. 135 swayamsevaks from four shakhas in the Seattle area, namely Bellevue shakha, Sammamish shakha, Maple Valley shakha, and Yuva shakha did ‘seemollanghan’ (crossing the borders) on the day. Wonderful, enthusiastic pradarshans (performances) and festive saha-bhojan (collective meal) were the salient features of the celebration.
Special programs during the utsav included 'danda abhyas pradarshan by yuva', recitation of 'Mahishasur Mardini Stotram', fancy dress competition and yoga demonstration. All of this was followed by talks of Chief Guest, Nitya Niranjan Ji, former president and current
board member of the Hindu Temple in Bothell as well as Ramesh Rao Ji, HSS's West Coast Sambhag Vyavastha Pramukh. Link to Photo Gallery of the event.
